Semi-mobile crusher plants

ThyssenKrupp Fördertechnik is one of the leading suppliers to minerals and mining industries worldwide. Their machinery, equipment, and processes are used for mining, processing, transport and stockpiling raw materials. The range of applications of their products includes conveyors, stackers, reclaimers, port handling systems, feeders, crushers, and mobile and semi-mobile crushing plants.

Semi-mobile crushing plants are designed to move primary crushing systems from one location to the next as a piggyback load on separate hauling units. Fortan was involved in design and detail engineering of two of these plants for mining site, Carajás, Brasil and Assarel, Bulgaria. To enable their mobility, these plants

applied a modular built which included feeder hoppers, apron feeders, box frame crusher supports, conveyors, and discharge chutes.

Having gained skills in the TKF way of design and manufacturing, Fortan was next ordered to engineer a major part of a stacker-reclaimer system for the Tanjung Bin terminal, Malasia. The assignment included detail engineering of the stacæer’s intermediate conveyor with its swiveling frame tilting mechanism, and tripper car.
